Part two: The Cro-Magnon picnic

Preface : Some time ago the largest known sandstone quarry in Leningrad region has been transformed into a commercial show cave. Filled with fake 'ancient' wall paintings, plastic statues of 'prehistoric people', it has nothing in common with the actual history of this interesting quarry. Every day hundreds of tourists enters this cave just to get their portion of horror stories and other nonsense. At the beginning the museum owners prevented cavers from entering the quarry. After several critical articles published in the Internet, the agreement has been arranged and cavers now can study remote parts of the quarry, where there are no museum installations.
